Who is Foundry for?

Foundry is a mentor for students 16 and older, especially anyone weighing a trade, apprenticeship, or vocational path alongside or instead of a four-year college. It gets to know you, then surfaces real routes (and the schools, funding, and futures behind them) you may not have known existed.

Do I need an account to try it?

No. You can go through the opening interview and see your first Portrait before creating any account. Until you sign in, that early conversation stays only on your device. When you're ready to save your progress, Foundry uses Sign in with Apple.

What does Foundry cost?

Foundry is free and shows no ads. It doesn't currently sell anything. If a paid plan is ever offered, it would be handled by Apple through the App Store, and this page would be updated first.

How does it find real programs near me?

When you ask Foundry to explore a path, it sends only that path's trade and the ZIP code you provide to look up genuine local apprenticeships, union locals, and college programs. It never sends your name or account, and it keeps the results with your paths so you can act on them.

Can a parent, counselor, or coach see my progress?

Only if you let them. Foundry is private by default: nothing you build is visible to anyone else until you choose to share it, aspect by aspect (your Portrait, your paths, your story), and you can change or revoke that at any time.

Does Foundry work across my devices?

Yes. Once you sign in with Apple, your Portrait, paths, and reflections are saved to your account, so your progress is remembered across time and devices. Sign in with the same Apple Account on each device.

Is my data private, and is it used to train AI?

Your work is private by default and stored on our own secure server, never sold or shared. To generate its mentoring, Foundry sends the text you write to Anthropic's Claude AI through our server; inputs sent through Anthropic's API are not used to train its models. Foundry runs no advertising and no cross-app tracking. Full detail is on the Privacy page.

How do I start over or delete my account?

You can start over from within the app at any time, which erases your Portrait, paths, reflections, and sharing choices and lets you begin a fresh interview. To delete your account entirely, email us and we'll remove it.
